Young dancers in Montrose are putting on a Winter show to raise money for an orphanage in Thailand.

After visiting an orphanage in Asia, the pupils of the Gordon School of Dancing wanted to do something to raise money for the orphans.

Robina Addison, owner, said: “During a recent trip to Thailand with my pupils, who were performing at a St Andrew’s Day Ball, we visited an orphanage in Bangkok.

“The children in the orphanage, called ‘Little Birds’, were all born with HIV and through no fault of their own lead a dismal life.

“The orphanage depends on the kindness of others and are lucky to have an ex-pat trying his best to look out for them.

“My pupils are staging a show on Sunday, December 28, and we are sending proceeds from the show to the orphans.

“Please support this worthy cause.”

The show, ‘Winter Wonderland’, will be performed in the Town Hall.

The matinee show is at 2 p.m. and the evening performance at 7 p.m. Tickets are available from the Printshop or at the Town Hall prior to the performances.
