THE deadline for entries to our Angus Photo Competition 2008 passes on Thursday, but there has been no sign of interest drying up.
Sharp-eyed locals have kept a keen focus on the competition and the quality of entries so far has been very high.
And it seems the Angus countryside has won the fight to be the most photographed subject, featuring in the vast majority of pictures sent in.
Top prize for the winner of our photo competition is a £150 voucher to spend at the Forfar Photo Centre, with each of the top 12 entries appearing in our Angus calendar, to be released later this year.
Each of our top 12 photographers will also receive a free copy of the calendar, while a selection of some of the best photographs will appear in these pages and on our website.
But we are still receiving some pics without a mailing address, phone number or details of the photo attached; without which a photo cannot be considered for the top prize.
Photographs should also be large enough to be used in a professional publication, but the subject matter is entirely up to you.
You can see a gallery of the latest entries
here.
For your chance of winning, send your pics to
angusphotocompetition@jpress.co.uk before midnight, Thursday, August 21. The winners will be announced on the website on Friday, September 5.
Terms and conditions: By submitting photographs to the competition you are giving consent that they may be used, free of charge, by Johnston Press in any of its publications; no cash alternative to prizes offered; you may only submit photographs taken by yourself; staff of Johnston Press are not permitted to enter the competition; the decision of the judging panel is final.
