OVER 100 seasonal snappers have submitted their shots to our Summer Photo Competition, but with just over a week remaining before the deadline there is still ample time to get your entries in.
Bees busy collecting pollen, sunset scenes and gardens in bloom seem to be the most popular subjects, but there have also some unusual shots which more than capture the imagination.

However, we have received a number of entries from persons unknown, as they have forgotten to attach their name, address, phone number or even details describing what their photograph is of.

Without this information, your photograph cannot be considered for our top prize, a £150 voucher to spend at the Forfar Photo Centre.

Photographs should also be large enough to be used in a professional publication, but the subject matter is entirely up to you.

Remember also that the top 12 entries will appear in our Angus 2009 calendar, which goes on sale in all local newsagents and in our online shop later this year.

You can see a gallery of the latest entries here.

Send your pics to angusphotocompetition@jpress.co.uk.

Terms and conditions: By submitting photographs to the competition you are giving consent that they may be used, free of charge, by Johnston Press in any of its publications; no cash alternative to prizes offered; you may only submit photographs taken by yourself; staff of Johnston Press are not permitted to enter the competition; the decision of the judging panel is final.
