MERPRO FC are celebrating 25 seasons in existance. Merpro were 22 seasons in the Montrose and District Welfare League then moved on to the Midlands Amateur League.

Colin Wilson, who has played in every season, displays a special 25th anniversary shirt together with Kevin Gallagher, financial director of sponsors Merpro.

Also pictured are management, players and representatives of the club's other sponsors, the Black Abbot and R Coull & Son.

In their first season, 1982-83, Merpro finished second in the Welfare League Division Two and were promoted to Division One. They then became champions in their first season in the top division.

In their time in the Welfare League, Merpro won nine league titles, nine Review Cups, seven Matrix Cups, five Piggins Cups and four League Cups.

They won the league and three cups on two occasions, but never managed a clean sweep of all the honours.
