Montrose athletes star in championships

MONTROSE and District Athletes took part in the Scottish National Track and Field Age Group championships at Grangemouth.

Gregor Maclean added the Scottish title to his British title, winning the U17 men's pole vault.

Sophie Milne added 20 cm to her personal best to win the bronze in the U15 girls pole vault. She also had a pb in the 100m.

Skye Petrie broke her personal best four times and broke the six year old club record in the U13 javelin, finishing fourth.

Grant Lees finished fifth in the U15 boys 75m hurdles heat and seventh in the javelin final.

Donavan Webster finished eighth in the U15 boys discus final.
