MONTROSE are still on track for the play offs after holding Stirling Albion to a 2-2 draw on Saturday.
It looked like the Gable Endies would record a win but the visitors managed to get a late equaliser and only a point each was taken.
Montrose boss Stuart Garden said: “Overall I would say I was pleased with the performance after the first 15 or 20 minutes or so.
“I think after that we took control of the game a bit more but we were poor to start.
“I think we could have got a win out of the game if we had a bit more luck and I think showed a bit more professionalism at times.”
Both Montrose goals were well taken and it seemed like the Gable Endies were onto a winner.
Garden said: “I thought with the first goal Boyle was very brave, it was a good goal.
“But I think it was a sending off with the ‘keeper. To me that was violent conduct and there was no attempt to get the ball. I think if that had been an outfield player then the outcome would have been different and he would have been off.
“For the second goal Boyle sent a great ball through and then McIntosh’s finish was excellent. I was very pleased with that.”
This Saturday Montrose travel to Elgin City with four games to go.
“It will be a tough game against Elgin but it’s up to us to do a good job against themm up there.
“We are more than capable of getting a good result against them.
“In the last two or three games we have put in some great performances and I’m hoping to see a good win against Elgin to continue that run.”
Garden’s side should be back up to full strength on Saturday with Garry Wood and Jonathan Crawford back from injury.
