Dyce Juniors and Montrose Roselea played out a 1-1 draw in their annual friendly on Saturday.
The honours were shared at Ian Mair Park in what was a good workout for both teams played on an excellent surface.
After a goalless first half the game burst into life when Andrew Tringham scored from the half way line straight from the kick off.
Roselea were reduced to 10 men in the last 20 minutes as injuries to sub Liam Bailey and Ryan Taylor combined with the official not allowing to replace them with players who had been subbed to return to play.
Dyce had been coming into the game more and equalised when Steven Bartlet scored.
There was a late chance for Dyce to take the bragging rights after Aaron Thomson conceded a penalty.
Jordan Morrice saw his penalty saved by Ronnie Massie who dived and pushed the ball around the post.
There was plenty of optimisim about the performance and both trialists showed that they could be welcome additions to the squad.
Roselea would like to thank all at Dyce JFC who as usual provided excellent Hospitality especially to Match Sponsors Gill Financial Services. Also thanks to Davie Bartlet who provided the photos.
The next pre season match will be on Saturday August 25 when Super League side Broughty Athletic come to Broomfield Park.
Kick-off is 2.00pm.
