Those buying Lucky Number tickets over the festive period are set to double their money should they correctly predict the Bonus Ball, winning them £20 instead of the normal £10.
Based on the National Lottery draw, the scheme is run by the Montrose Football Supporters Group and raises funds for Montrose FC, Montrose Roselea JFC and Merpro AFC.
Administrator Stuart Robertson said: “Ticket sales have been very good all year, and we have paid out over £8000 in prize money, but with the Jackpot currently sitting at a massive £5000, we wanted to thank everyone for their contribution by offering a little extra reward this Christmas.”
Anyone therefore buying a ticket for the draws on December 19 and 26 will not only have the chance of winning a share of the Jackpot, they will also collect £20 should they correctly predict the Bonus Ball.
Tickets are available from the usual outlets, including The Home Dugout (Montrose FC), Alan Pirie (Montrose FC), Stuart Robertson (Roselea JFC) and Colin Duncan (Merpro AFC).
Stuart also indicated that further enhancements are planned for the scheme, and information on this will be communicated early in the New Year.
