With Union Park hosting the Junior Highland Games on Sunday, Montrose Junior Rugby chose to take the S1/2, U16 and U18 squads away on a team building day.

Visiting the Scottish Assault Course in Errol, the squads all completed the gruelling route over obstacles, through tunnels and along rivers.

Duncan Campbell, U18 Coach said: “As well as building our players’ technical and tactical skills, we are keen to develop their physical and mental strength.

“This day gave us an opportunity to have some fun and build a sense of team, while working on their strength and conditioning for the season ahead.

“It was great to see the three squads working together so well.

“The players were a credit to the club with everyone making it around the assault course.

“Even some of the coaches made it too!”
