Andy Moffat again won the men’s singles title at Montrose Tennis Club this weekend, beating US university-bound Jack Murison.

Marta Krauze came from behind in the third set to beat 13-year-old Suzanne Stirling and retain the women’s championship.

Cameron Eeles won the CV Baxter handicap event over Nicholas Stirling, while Marta also accounted for the women’s doubles championship, with Barbara Watson, and the mixed doubles title, with Andy Baxter.

Four players shared the seven singles titles for older junior players, with Orla Macleod winning the girls’ 12 and under event and Georgia Stirling winning in the 14 and 16 classes.

Orin Forbes recorded a clean sweep of the boys’ 12, 14 and 16 titles, but in his fourth singles match of the day narrowly lost to Cameron Fryer in the junior CV Baxter handicap event.
