The Angus Girls’ Rugby Hub, based in Montrose, travelled to Blairgowrie to take part in the Tayside and Fife 7s Festival.

Playing teams from Caithness, Auchterarder, Perth and Kinross, the girls played seven games.

As well as strong tackling, the Angus squad looked to move the ball across the pitch to create space.

Having won four out of their six games, they made it into the third/fourth play-off.

In a very tight game, the Angus girls applied pressure in defence to keep control
of the ball and they won four tries to three.

At the end of the festival, winners trophies were given to Caithness at U18 and Auchterarder at U15.

As well as fair play awards, the Under-15 Star of the Future Award went to Shona Campbell of Montrose and the U18 award went to Katy Mackay of Caithness.

This weekend, the girls are heading to Perth to take part in a Positive Coaching Scotland Festival in Perth.
