Three lucky Angus swimmers, including one who swims for Montrose, got the chance to swim with Commonwealth gold medallist Hannah Miley.
Katy Davies (12), Lauren Millar (12), and Mackinley Skea (13), who all swim for the Forfar Falcons, and Mackinley who also swims for Montrose Seals, met Hannah at a swimming challenge in Glasgow after winning a competition.
Hannah (25), from Inverurie, Aberdeenshire, defended the 400 metre individual medley title she won in the Delhi Commonwealth Games at this year’s Glasgow Games.
She is the third Scottish woman ever to defend a Commonwealth title.
Hannah returned to the scene of her Commonwealth Games glory to encourage hundreds of youngsters taking part in the Scottish Gas SwimBritain event at Tollcross Acquatics Centre.
For the three Angus swimmers, they were lucky enough to swim with the gold medallist for a four-person relay challenge when Hannah made up the fourth person in their team.
Mackinley said: “I can’t believe I got to be on a relay team with her.”
Katy said: “I’m a massive Hannah fan. I cried when I found out I would be swimming with her.”
Hannah “What a great bunch of young swimmers. Their enthusiasm is infectious.
“SwimBritain is a brilliant event. The young people here today could be the medallists of the future.”
The four-person SwimBritain relay challenge for swimmers of all abilities is now in its second year.
