LYNN Coull and Ian Sykes, members of the Montrose golf 450 celebration committee, are liaising with Rachel Benvie of Montrose Museum over the forthcoming golf exhibition which is being planned in the museum from the April to the end of June.
Ian and Lynn are calling on the public in the area to contact them if they have any golf artefacts or memorabilia which could be of use in the exhibition.
Lynn said: “The exhibition is looking back over the 450 years of golf in the town so we are appealing for any materials which could illustrate this.
“The older the artefacts the better and this could also include things such as early types of golf clubs and clothing.”
Ian Sykes added: “We are also very interested in information and materials about our local golf clubs.
“We suggest that anyone who has anything they consider might be of use to contact us through the Montrose Golf Links office on 01674 672932 and leave their name and address.
A member of the celebration committee will contact them”
