Montrose golfer Jamie Beedie was recently selected to play golf for the under-18s SGU Boys’ Area Team Championships at Machrahanish Dunes on June 7 and 8.

Jamie, with a handicap of two, also experienced having his first hole in one at a par four.

The conditions on the Sunday were very tough for all the competitors due to high winds.

The Angus Team did very well, although they did not win the competition, but gained valuable experience competing against other county players and Scottish Golf Union representatives.
