STUDENTS of the David McNairn Black Belt Academy had a successful visit to the North East Challenge Cup in Arbroath.

Considering for many of the students this was their first competition, Mr McNairn was delighted with the results and that all their hard work and training had paid dividends.

David Dryden came home with a double gold for the Heavyweight Sparring and Yellow Belt Patterns; Jamie Raffan also had double medals with gold for Special Technique and bronze for Under-135cm Sparring.

Lachlan Gordon took bronze for both Nine-to-12 Years Red Belt Patterns and Under-145cm Sparring, yet another double.

Kian Honeyman took silver for White Belt Patterns; Liam Fenty, Billy Davey and Brodie Craigie all took bronze for their individual categories in Sparring; Holly Maxwell took a bronze for White Belt Patterns and Jack Tinnon-Morgan also took a bronze for the Under-125cm White to Yellow Belt Sparring.
