MONTROSE Shotokan Karate club held a seminar last Saturday with Iain Abernethy.

Iain holds the rank of 6th Dan with the British Combat Association (one of the world’s leading groups for close-quarter combat, self-protection and practical martial arts), the English Karate Federation, and the British Karate Association.

Prior to the seminar Iain held a Dan Grading, with Scott Coutts gaining his 1st Dan Black Belt. Scott has been training with Montrose Shotokan for the past six years.

This year’s venue was sponsored by Gordon Phillips of ZJ Safety Ltd, for which the club was very grateful.

Montrose Shotokan Karate train in Montrose Academy Tuesday and Thursday 7 to 9pm.
