A young Montrose golfer has completed a successful season by winning the Scottish Junior Golf Tour for under-13s order of merit.

Ewan Wheat (12) achieved this feat by wins at Dunfermline, Monifieth and Gullane.

Ewan, who plays off nine, has also recently been placed - tied second - in the Scottish Schools’ Under-13 tournament played over the Strathyrum course at St Andrews.

After learning to play golf through the junior coaching programme run by Janice and Alan Crow at the Royal Montrose Golf Club, Ewan, who as been recognised for the past two years as “Scottish wee wonder of golf” now receives coaching from Kendal McWade, The Paul Lawrie Golf Foundation, Angus County. He is currently being assessed for the Scottish Golf Academy.
