Bodyslamming pro-wrestling action returns to Angus later this month as WrestleZone get ready to rumble at Brechin City Hall.

The lycra-clad warriors are getting set for the family-friendly event on Saturday 26th September which will be packed full of high-flying, hard-hitting action.

Current Undisputed Champion Scotty Swift faces a huge bout at the event when he takes on fierce rival Alan Sterling with the top prize on the line.

The duo have recently been involved in a heated rivalry with Sterling holding a victory over Swift which has lead to this title opportunity. However, the “Red-Haired Warrior” is determined to continue his run as champion but expects another tough fight next Saturday.

The 35-year-old continued: “Alan Sterling wants what I have and will do anything to get his hands on the Undisputed Championship.

“This is the one title everyone wants as it certifies you as the best in the WrestleZone. I feel privileged to hold this championship as vindication for years of hard work, and I’m not ready to give it up without a fight.

“Alan Sterling is a bad smell that just won’t go away. But in Brechin, I am determined to ensure I leave Brechin as champion and end Sterling’s hopes of getting his grubby hands on the gold.”

Six top matches await Angus’ grappling fans at the event which will feature other favourites such as Crusher Craib, Shawn Johnson and Kaden Garrick.

The annual spectacle in Brechin is suitable for fans of all ages and Scotty can’t wait to step into the wrestling ring at the City Hall and give the fans a great night of pro-wrestling action.

He added: “I’ve been a wrestling fan from a young age and it is great to bring wrestling to towns across the North of Scotland.

“It’s always a great atmosphere in Brechin City Hall - whether you are cheering, booing or laughing – it’s always a fun night.

“Next Saturday, I’ll be looking to my own match and making sure I hold onto the gold, but I know for sure you will see some great quality bouts with some of the top wrestlers in Scotland.”

Doors at the City Hall open at 7pm with the first bout at 7.30pm.

Admission is £12 for adults and £10 for under 14s. More information is available by phoning 07855 121777 or at www.wrestlezonescotland.co.uk.
