Angus Arts will be hosting their annual Easter Puppet Festival, with a slight change in format this year.

Sunday (March 29) sees Angus Arts introducing film for the first time, with a showing of ‘Animated Short Films: Family Treats’ at The Glenesk Retreat at 3 p.m.

Comprising a programme of funny, delightful short animated films especially for children and their families, expect an eclectic mix of beautiful visual styles and intriguing animation techniques.

Easter Saturday (April 4) sees Angus Arts welcome Lempen Puppet Theatre Company to Fettercairn Hall at 3 p.m. with their brand new production of ‘Little Frankenstein’.

The show features ‘semi famous’ puppeteer Frank Stein who’s busy rehearsing his new show ‘George the Dragon Slayer’. This is a ‘gentle horror for little horrors’ and is suitable from ages five upwards.

Tickets for ‘Animated Short Films: Family Treats’ are £5/adult and £3/child, and for ‘Little Frakenstein’ tickets are £7/adult and £5/child. Show and film tickets can be booked by phoning 01561 298173 or 01356 648669, email angus.arts@btinternet.com or online at www.neatshows.co.uk
