THE LATEST show in Montrose Museum’s art gallery is an exhibition by local artist Maurice Forsyth-Grant.

‘Moments’ features works illustrating the inspiring and diverse landscape of the Mearns and Grampians.

Maurice has worked primarily as a full-time commissioned artist since leaving Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in 1987, but over the years has moved to painting topics of choice, particularly the beautiful countryside and coastline round his home.

As part of this exhibition Maurice will be holding two Meet the Artist afternoons, on Friday, May 20, from 2 to 4pm and on Saturday, May 28, 2 to 4pm in the museum when visitors are welcome to come along and talk to him about his works and his life as a painter.

‘Moments’ opened on Saturday and will run until Saturday, June 11. Montrose Museum is open Monday to Saturday 10am to 5pm.
