THE final countdown is on for the Montrose Music Festival Committee’s next highly anticipated event in Montrose Town Hall.
Legendary Canvey Island rockers Dr Feelgood are performing with support from The Fortunate Sons on April 2. Doors open at 7pm. Tickets are on sale at www.ticketweb.co.uk for only £15.
Dr Feelgood are the subject of an award winning rockumentary - Oil City Confidential - winner of the Mojo Best Film Award 2010. In 1976 they were sitting at number 1 in the album charts and were loved by the British public just before punk was big.
As Britain’s premier rhythm and blues band, their reputation is sealed after over 30 years in the music industry writing, performing and touring extensively.
The usual Montrose welcome will be waiting for them when they visit the Town Hall as part of their national tour (straight from King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow).
Not to be missed is their opening act – The Fortunate Sons. They formed in 2005 in Glasgow. Their energetic bluesy music is gritty and exciting.
The committee is absolutely delighted to welcome them back to the festival as old festival favourites with a fresh performance just waiting for Montrose music lovers to relish. Tickets are still available.
