Edinburgh based band Titus Pullo will be playing at MoFest for the first time this year and one band member works for one of the Review’s sister titles.

The band is made up of lead singer Craig Robson, Fraser Allan on lead guitar and backing, bass guitarist Gavin Devlin, Keith Kirkwood on drums and Angela Will on backing vocals.

Angela works for the Montrose Review’s sister paper, the Falkirk Herald, as an accounts manager.

She said: “I’m actually really excited about playing, we have never played at that festival before but I know the whole band are looking forward to it.”

The band will be playing at Sharkys Bar, on George Street, at 1.30 p.m. on Saturday, May 24.

Titus Pullo are an offshoot of Edinburgh based band Death Trap City.

The band began as a solo project for singer and songwriter Craig Robson to explore a more intimate, acoustic vibe which resulted in the release of the Acoustic #1 EP in February 2012.

Having cut the demo in a day on acoustic instruments, Robson wanted to explore the potential of the tracks within the context of a live band.

Collaborating with fellow Edinburgh-based musicians, the project developed and quickly gelled with the band Titus Pullo playing their first show a few weeks later.

Spurred on by the positive feedback Titus Pullo set about working on new tracks which combined the best elements of the intimate, acoustic feel, delivered with an anthemic sound.

Their first single ‘Pieces Of Me’ showed the fruits of that labour - a new, energetic arrangement of a track from the first EP, honed in the rehearsal room and on the stage over the band’s first year.

Titus Pullo’s debut album ‘Regardless Of How It Appears’ was released on November 25 2013, ushered in with an album launch show two days prior at Edinburgh’s Electric Circus.
